November 21, 2013 // The Holy Mountain // Bjorn

Hello all, this week I will be hosting at Springer's place and I will be showing Alejandro Jodorowsky's The Holy Mountain. It was made in 1973 and defies description. Each scene looks completely different from the scene that preceded it, and not unlike Santa Sangre, relies heavily on symbolism and shock value.
Join me at 7:30 at Casa de Springer for pizza, beer, and disturbing and sacreligious imagery!

November 7th, 2013 // Paris is Burning // Ben

This Thursday, we'll be taking a look at one of the following three extremely specific subcultures; care to guess?
  • Communist Bolivian hipsters from the 1920s
  • Gay minority drag queens from New York City in the 1980s
  • Expatriate Phillipino drug runners in Canada in the 1800s
If you guessed gay minority drag queens from New York City in the 1980s you win our prize! which is pizza! which is the same as our consolation prize!

So please join me this Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at House Garry for pizza, beer, and learning the origins of "working it"

Fabulously Yours,
